The OBDAssistant community helps drivers, mechanics, and enthusiasts share diagnostic knowledge. We keep this space safe, respectful, and technically valuable.
Treat every member with respect. We welcome all experience levels. Disagreements are fine; personal attacks are not.
Do not post advice to ignore warning lights, bypass safety systems, perform unsafe modifications, drive with known dangerous faults, or tamper with emissions controls where illegal.
All community advice is user-generated. OBDAssistant does not verify or endorse repair advice from other users. You are responsible for advice you post and advice you follow. Always verify safety-critical suggestions with a qualified mechanic.
Do not post your full VIN (use last 6 chars if needed). Do not share plates, addresses, or phone numbers. Use a pseudonym if you prefer anonymity.
Moderators may remove content, edit posts containing personal data, issue warnings, suspend accounts temporarily, or permanently ban users. Serious violations may result in immediate removal without prior notice.
Report violations via the report function or email support@obd2assistant.com. Reports are reviewed within 48 hours.
Your community username is separate from anonymised vehicle health data. Moderators can see your email for moderation purposes only.
By posting, you grant OBDAssistant a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content. You retain ownership. Do not post copyrighted material without permission.
