Where is My OBD2 Port?

By law, all vehicles manufactured in the United States since 1996 and Europe/UK since 2001 must have this port within 3 feet of the driver's seat. Common locations include:

  • Directly beneath the steering column under the lower dash panel.
  • Behind a small pull-down door near the driver's interior fuse box.
  • Inside or beneath the center console / ashtray compartment.
