OBDAssistant collects anonymized vehicle diagnostic data to power its features. We do not collect VINs, license plates, precise GPS locations, or personally identifiable information.
When you use the app, we collect diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), sensor readings (e.g., RPM, coolant temperature, fuel trims), and performance metrics. This data is associated with a random device identifier — not your personal identity.
We collect basic device metadata including Android version, screen resolution, and app version to ensure compatibility and improve the user experience.
Diagnostic session data is retained for up to 24 months to support predictive model training. You may request deletion of all data associated with your device identifier at any time by contacting us at obd2assistant.app@gmail.com.
